Your company can also be provided with an MX fail-over record to provide email redundancy in the event your primary mail server is unavailable. This fail-over record will have a higher priority so that it acts as your backup MX record (3A). Messages sent to valid email addresses within your company during the server downtime will be stored until your server is brought back online. No email will be lost or bounced back to the sender!
